The Boil Water Order for Cedar Lane subdivision has been LIFTED. Please see the image attached on what you should do now.

*UPDATE* -Leak was repaired and all water restored. There is currently a Boil Water Order for City of Metropolis customers around Cedar Lane subdivision. Crews are working on the leak and hope to have it resolved soon. The Boil Water Order will be lifted after bacteriological testing is complete.

The City of Metropolis will be performing necessary repairs to the water main in the Cedar Lane subdivision on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. Please be advised: Temporary service interruptions may occur during the work. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to maintain and improve our water infrastructure.
